DIA 28: “Uma m\u00fasica – ou duas – de um artista que voc\u00ea ama a voz”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amo a voz de Lloyd Cole desde os tempos do Commotions, e amo tamb\u00e9m suas covers.<\/p>\n

Na minha LastFM<\/a>, “The Young Idealists”, de sua carreira solo (uma can\u00e7\u00e3o que come\u00e7a com a frase “Eu sei que disse que era a favor de uma resolu\u00e7\u00e3o pac\u00edfica” e, pouco depois, fala em “sinergia”, essa palavra odiada), \u00e9 a m\u00fasica que mais ouvi dele.<\/p>\n

Logo depois vem as vers\u00f5es de “Chelsea Hotel No. 2” (olha o Cohen novamente na \u00e1rea), seguida de “Si Tu Dois Partir” (uma can\u00e7\u00e3o de Dylan de 1965 chamada “If You Gotta Go, Go” que ele nunca registrou em seus \u00e1lbuns oficiais, mas foi resgatada nas “The Bootleg Series Volumes 1\u20133”, de 1991 – a vers\u00e3o em franc\u00eas foi lan\u00e7ada pelo Fairport Convention em 1968, e essa do Lloyd apareceu primeiro na deliciosa colet\u00e2nea “Pop Romantique”, de 1999, que ainda traz Luna, The Apples In Stereo, Air e Magnetic Fields, todos gravando “French Pop Classics”) e de sua cover para “I Just Don’t Know What to Do with Myself”. S\u00f3 na quinta posi\u00e7\u00e3o aparece “Perfect Skin”.<\/p>\n

“People Ain’t No Good” \u00e9 uma can\u00e7\u00e3o – de partir o cora\u00e7\u00e3o – que Nick Cave comp\u00f4s e lan\u00e7ou na obra prima “The Boatman’s Call”, de 1997<\/a>. Lloyd Cole a registrou no \u00e1lbum “Music in a Foreign Language”, de 2003, mas aqui ela aparece tamb\u00e9m numa bela vers\u00e3o ao vivo.<\/p>\n
